With food and fuel costs rising, even more people are going to go hungry this year. There are already food riots in Haiti. India and Pakistan are hording their rice, driving up cost, due to shortages.

You can help! Just put a little money towards my goal. It can be anything from $1 to $1000. It doesn’t matter. Just give a little!

The Walk for Hunger is this this upcoming Sunday (May 4). Carl and I are, once again, planning to walk all 20 miles. We’re each a bit short of our goals, so please help us out by making a small donation if you haven’t already.

If you’ve already made a donation, thank you! The money is going directly to help feed the hungry!

For those of you who missed my first post, this is a reminder I’m trying to raise $500 for Project Bread’s Walk for Hunger. Please help support ending hunger in Massachusetts by making your tax deductable donation here. Your donation will be much appreciated and you can donate as little as $1 and still make a difference!

I’m doing the Walk for Hunger again. I’m trying to individually raise $500 this time. Carl and I have also set up Team Houde if anyone would like to join us in the torturewalk. Together, $1000 is the goal (that’s $500 each). If you donate to the team, we don’t get credited individually for the walk, so it doesn’t go to the $500 personal goal, just the $1000 team goal. So, make sure you donate via my personal page.

This year, I made tax deductible donations as follows:

Month
Charity/Cause
Amount

March
Project Bread / Walk for Hunger
$50

December
WGBH (Public Television/NPR)
$50

December
Americares
$100

December

Heifer International
$30 (Beehive)

Total:
$255

My parents made a large donation to Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth in October for our wedding. That was what we did in lieu of favors, but that’s technically her charitable contribution, even though it was made [...]

Full album with all the pictures from yesterday’s 20 mile Walk for Hunger is available.

First of all, I want to thank everyone who donated so far! You are all awesome!

Next, I want to solicit last chance donations. Please here and donate to the Walk. Even as little as $1 will help feed the hungry in Massachusetts! Both Carl and I are walking and we’d both appreciate whatever support you can give!

This is a reminder. On May 6, 2007, both Carl and I will be participating in the 39th Annual Walk for Hunger charity walk. During this walk we will be attempting to complete the entire 20-mile route around Boston and its surrounding towns along the Charles River. Please support us by supplying a donation, or if you’re local, joining us!

You can go directly to my walkpage or to Carl’s walkpage to make a donation.
