Engagement
Published by Elana September 26th, 2006 in Random Ramblings.Last Friday was my surprise trip. I didn’t know where we were going until Saturday morning before we left the hotel we’d stayed overnight in at Syracuse. We ended up going to Niagara Falls and then on to Toronto.
Saturday evening we went to Eaton Place where I found Lush and bought bunches of stuff. We had dinner at Baton Rouge, where the waiter inadvertantly gave away that the Red Sox were in town (I hadn’t made the connection) and Carl confirmed we had tickets to the game on Sunday. Then we went back to the hotel (Sutton Place) crashed out for the night. I do have to say it’s awesome that Toronto plays Hong Kong movies with English subtitles on their TV. We watched ‘The Shopaholics’ and it was quite funny.
We headed out early and experienced Tim Hortons for breakfast. Too bad the location we were at was under construction and lacked seating. Then we checked out of the hotel and went to Rogers Stadium to park (dodging a marathon). We headed over to the CN Tower, waited in a long line, and then experienced both levels.
So, at the top level, Carl asked me to marry him.
I said yes.
After the CN Tower, we went to the game and watched the Red Sox get their asses whipped 13-4. Youklis had butterfingers beyond belief! We left at the bottom of the 7th inning for the nine hour drive home…
