Catch-up
Published by Elana July 26th, 2005 in Books, Dieting, Geocaching, Health & Fitness, Photos, Random Ramblings, Working Out.I’m aware I haven’t posted in over a week. There are a couple of excuses, but the main one is I haven’t been terribly inspired lately. The secondary is, my life isn’t all that exciting. That said, I’ve been working on my new project with Liz and we should have an announcement about it soon. It’s been pulling away some time from this website, but I think it’ll be worth it in the end.
I’ve also been mad reading through the Harry Potter series. A trip to New Jersey gave me the 5 hours of time in the car to do nothing but finish book 5, so I was able to start book 6 (and finish it on the 5 hours back to Massachusetts) this past weekend. Wow. Big stuff. Read it if you haven’t already.
The trip to New Jersey was a much overdue visit to my parents. On Saturday we went to Deep Cut Gardens with my parents to check out the grounds. Coincidentally, there was a Geocache there, so we got that in too. That evening, in celebration of my sister’s birthday (which is tomorrow), we went to Rats for dinner (Wind in the Willows theme) and then took a walk around the sculpture gardens. Carl has absconded with all my photos of both gardens, but I’ll get them back!
On the diet and working out front, because I was away this weekend I missed my Weight Watchers meeting and my Saturday workout. However, I feel I made up for it by walking around Deep Cut Gardens and the Sculpture Gardens a bit.
Yesterday, well… there was a mishap involving sweet cereal, just turned milk, and me not taking a real sip of it unsweetened until after I’d finished the cereal. Needless to say, I left work early and spent the day with a bad tummy ache. From now on, I taste the milk first. Yesterday was a bit of a bust for my Weight Watchers, and my stomach is still a bit queasy this morning, so I haven’t had breakfast yet.
