Freeware/Open Source Bulletin Software
3 Comments and 0 Trackbacks Published by Elana June 30th, 2005 in Tech.I’m working on a new project, and need to evaluate free or open source bulletin board systems. I can’t afford to purchase something right now with the idea I’m working with being rather untried. Optimally, the bulletin board system would allow me to modify it so the color scheme and fonts would fit in with the rest of the website I’m designing. It would also be easy to install and maintain. I’m familiar with PHP and MySQL for the backend, so those would be ideal.

Batman Begins was different than any of the previous Batman movies in the franchise. It was more real. Instead of a mythic creation, the characterization of Bruce Wayne as provided for by Christian Bale was legitimate. You could almost believe the character exists.

A Day at the Beach Interrupted
0 Comments and 1 Trackback Published by Elana June 25th, 2005 in Politics, Random Ramblings. It was wicked hot today; 97°F hot. Hot enough instead of getting dressed this morning, I put on a bathing suit and walked down to the beach. I spent an hour and a half baking, going into the still frigid ocean to cool off, and baking some more.
My day of leisure and relaxation was later disturbed by my coming across one of the most fucked up stories I’ve seen on the Internet.
