CLAMP Campus Adventures

Ugh. You know something? I haven’t updated this in FOREVER and it’s pretty damn dauting to start doing so now. I’ll try to do a brief synopsis and then update more in depth later.

Notice I said “attempt” up there. School is finally over for the month. I dropped off my final paper last night and now I’m free until May 13 when I start my summer course on “Marketing on the Internet”. In the Fall I’m going to take “Strategic Management” (it’s a capstone and very required) online and “E-Commerce Web Design” in the classroom. Once I’m done with the capstone course, I’m all elective until I graduate (hopefully in the year 2004, at some point).

Anime Boston went off very well. We had 3800+ attendees show up before we had to shut down registration (noon on Saturday!) because the hotel had reached fire marshall capacity! That was way more people than we ever imagined showing up. It was a definite learning experience. Especially since I had a 102 degree fever while running convention operations on Saturday! By Monday I was wiped and took the entire week to get back on my feet. I finally got to the doctor on Thursday and was told it was a sinus infection. Blech. So, now I’m on evil antibiotics. The things are like horsepills! They’re huge! I’m talking about 1 inch long here! And they’re not even coated with anything. I swear someone’s out to torture me! The good news is the doctor gave me Flonase which is pretty much the only nasal decongestant that I can use. All the over the counter stuff says you can’t use it if you have a thyroid condition. Those bastards!

On the medicine front, a month supply of Allegra now costs me $35! So, I’m moving to the cheapest over the counter stuff I can find. My doctor recommended Claritin or Alavert. Alavert looks to be cheaper for a month supply. I’ll have to start it next month and figure out how well it works. Note, cheaper means $20 for a month supply. Rip off! Not only that, but I had to get special dispensation from my insurance company to stay on Singulair! I’ve been on this medicine for asthma for years! What a pain in the ass.
